Here’s our key brand highlights as we say Happy Birthday to our lovable household friend, Green Bean™, and celebrate another year of helping children learn, play, and go on fun outdoor adventures!
Supporting Green Bean Studios’ Growth
Green Bean Studios has come a long way in a few short years since launching as a fast-growing startup business based in Manchester – a hub of tech, creative, and innovative businesses.
In 2022, our business was selected by Creative England as a high-growth creative business with the potential to scale regionally and globally. This gave us access to a six-month programme called Evolve, enabling us to meet with investors to secure further investment and develop the brand.
This year we were delighted to be named as one of the winners of Innovate UK’s Inclusive Innovation Award 2023. The award is being used to develop and launch three exciting new innovations aimed to be released in spring 2024.
Off the back of this exciting award win, Green Bean Studios was also awarded funding from Innovate UK’s DCMS Create Growth Fund: Competition 1 to support further development of our animated preschool children’s TV series which is in production.
New Talent Welcomed to the Team
With our rapid growth over the last year and big plans for the future, we have expanded our team with some fantastic talent, growing from 22 to 26 team members.
Supporting our animated productions into its next phase of development, we welcomed our first animator to the team. This talented animator has worked on some of the leading children’s animation series including Peppa Pig, Tee & Mo, Little Princes and much more.
We are also pleased to have welcomed some new business partners. One key partnership has been with Beyond Echo PR to support our marketing communications and brand profiling. Since working together, we have achieved PR pieces in multiple media outlets, sharing our knowledge and expertise on child development, innovation and sustainability.
Green Bean Studios has always worked closely with educational institutions to support the skills gap, regularly offering internships and work experience to students from secondary schools, colleges, and universities.
We recently brought on board two new marketing interns from Manchester Metropolitan University, who helped add value to our key marketing campaign activities over the summer.
Following the success of our internship programme for boosting the interns’ skills and experience, and benefitting our brand with their additional support, we will continue to work with new interns going forwards.
Defining Green Bean Studios’ Voice
At this pivotal point in our business, we really wanted to define our brand values and mission, and drill down to how we communicate in the best way to our key audiences. To do this, we embarked on a Tone of Voice project which helped us hone in on what matters most to us and how to share this with our fans.
What’s in store for the next 12 months?
What an incredible year it has been for our brand! It’s been a busy year but we have no plans of slowing down – we have so much in the pipeline to bring our fans locally and across the globe!
So, what will the next 12 months look like for Green Bean Studios?
A huge part of our activities will be focused on further strengthening our corporate responsibility and social impact as we work towards B Corp Certification to become a sustainable children’s entertainment brand leader.

With our ongoing partnership with the Centre for Global Eco-Innovation Environment Centre at Lancaster University, we will continue to research and develop our ECO retail lines to support a circular economy and help protect the planet, whilst making sustainable choices for children’s entertainment affordable for families.
We have so much to look forward to over the next year – here’s to another year of reaching one child at a time to play, learn and enjoy some fun outdoor adventures!
