A World Full of Wonder Can you remember what life was like as a young child? When everything is new, interesting, magical? Children live in a world of superlatives – the most, the best, the biggest! Everything is exciting; everything is important. All too often, adults forget this awe at everything. The wonder of the simple, everyday things that us grown-ups have become too busy, too tired, too jaded to notice anymore. Children never cease being amazed by the ordinary. They make the everyday into the extraordinary. Navigating the ups and downs of life as an adult can be challenging, but for children it can be overwhelming to deal with big emotions and stay calm through life’s struggles. Research conducted in 2020 showed that 1 in 6 children aged 5 to 16 were identified as having a probable mental health problem. Issues such as the ongoing pandemic have contributed to an increase in the number of children experiencing anxiety and depression. Though parents and carers can’t always prevent children from experiencing difficulties and challenging situations in life, there are many ways in which they can help children to build emotional resilience and develop coping strategies using mindfulness techniques. Here’s 3 mindfulness books for children to help them feel calm, focused and peaceful throughout childhood and into their adult lives. Customer Review – Green Bean's Colours Board Book by Anita Frost
It’s always wonderful to get feedback from our fans, and we absolutely love this brilliant review of our Green Bean’s Colours board book by Anne Pritchard. “With a suggested reading age of babies and up to 6 year olds this beautiful board book utilises bold colours on every page which are specially designed to familiarise young children with everyday colours. Within the book, Green Bean learns colours whilst using paints and there is a wonderful surprise for readers when Green Bean uncovers the painting at the end of the book. The vibrant and engaging illustrations will help to stimulate young children’s imaginations and encourage curiosity as well as creativity, giving children an ideal starting point for developing their communication and understanding of the world around them. This is an ideal learning resource for teachers and parents. The board book is ideal for small hands to hold and manage as well as being sturdy and resistant to damage through being dropped or thrown. A box set of educational board books is available which includes Green Bean’s Colours, Green Bean’s Shapes and Green Bean’s Numbers, a perfect gift for a baby shower, a Christening or a birthday. The book is ideal for babies, toddlers, pre-school children and Key Stage 1 pupils.” Reviewed by Anne Pritchard If you have a review of our books, toys, games or live events/attractions that you’d like to share we would love to hear from you!
