This week, Green Bean Studios founder Anita Frost was invited to speak for a second time as a guest on BBC Radio 5 Live’s breakfast show Wake Up To Money, sharing her thoughts on current topics in the global financial markets. Anita discussed how Green Bean Studios is helping to prepare the future workforce and support the economy, with their mission for getting more children to read for pleasure, and develop confidently through play and fun outdoor adventures. The business understands that for a capable and productive workforce of the future, the focus needs to be on children’s crucial early years. A recent UK-wide survey by BBC Children's and Education has highlighted that the majority of parents surveyed are concerned about their children's screen time post-pandemic. However, parents do acknowledge the positive effects children’s TV can have on stimulating imagination and creativity, and helping develop communication skills. As a children’s entertainment brand, Green Bean Studios believes that a balanced approach to screen time and other forms of children’s entertainment, such as books, toys, games, and outdoor play, is needed to give children the best start in life and help them reach their full potential. Other key topics discussed on the show included news that food inflation has dropped to its lowest level this year, yet the effect of this will not be immediately felt by families who are having to make their money go even further. Rahul Tandon provided an analysis of what the statistics say and when people can expect to feel the benefits of food inflation decreasing.
The news that another oil giant has announced its profits and there are more plans for drilling for oil and gas in the UK was also talked about. With the ongoing climate crisis causing immense damage to both the natural world and human environments, these issues highlight the urgency for businesses to invest in sustainable, eco-conscious businesses to reduce the impact of fossil fuels on the environment and help protect the planet. Green Bean Studios is a champion of sustainability and working towards B-Corp status as a business. With ECO toy ranges and a core brand message of protecting and nurturing the environment whilst celebrating the wonders of the natural world, the business is striving to make waves in the children’s entertainment industry as a leader for sustainability.
