Nine in ten children aged 3-17 (89%) played video games using any of the devices listed in the graphic below, and of all the media activities we measure, only watching videos on VSPs (96%) and watching TV (97%) were more widespread according to Ofcom  How media use affects your child? Kids who use media in their bedrooms often don't get enough sleep at night. Media use also can expose kids to cyberbullying, which has been linked to depression and suicide. And media use can distract kids from important tasks, interfere with homework time, and hurt school performance according to Kids Health.
